
Research
Research takes center stage during the last six days in the field when students have to use the learned skills to develop their own research projects. Organized into groups, they carry out student-led state-of-the-art scientific projects under the guidance and supervision of faculty and guides. Each student participating in the program has to put forward a research project or choose it from a varied portfolio of options the faculty staff offer on each campaign.
Each student is in charge of a project or part of a large one for which they are responsible. However, the activities in the field are carried out in small groups, encouraging a collaborative approach and teamwork. At the end of the program, each student will be required to present his or her research in the outreach activities and to present a report with the work done and the scientific results. The final research project portfolio is given to the participants a few months in advance of the field campaign.
